Flexibility & Use Cases
Notion's core innovation is its block-based editor, which allows any piece of content to be transformed into a database, kanban board, calendar, or gallery. This means a single Notion workspace can serve as a company wiki, project tracker, meeting notes system, and content calendar simultaneously — replacing tools that would otherwise cost $50–100/month separately.
Confluence is a more traditional wiki platform. Its strength is structured documentation: it excels at technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge bases that follow a predictable hierarchy.
